Child psychosocial functioning and parent quality of life among clinically referred children

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to investigate the factors that influence the quality of life of families with clinically referred children. Results show that family achievement of quality life is dependent on parent and family contextual factors and child psychosocial functioning. It was also observed that socioeconomic disadvantage, parent stress and psychopathology, unhealthy interpersonal relations and limited social support negatively affect the attainment of quality family life.
