Getting rid of melasma

Article Abstract:

Melasma are light to dark brown blotches that usually appear on the forehead, cheeks, upper lip or chin of pregnant women or those on birth control pills. This hormone-related condition is mainly caused by exposure to the sun. Topical medications that contain hydroquinone are recommended. However, a strong sunblock must be used during and after treatment to prevent their recurrence.
