How much is too much?

Article Abstract:

The average child under age 5 watches between three and four hours of television each day. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children under 2 not watch TV at all. A range of experts answer parents' questions about how much TV is too much, how can negative influences be minimized and shy some shows frighten small children when others do not.

Toddlers must be taught socialization. Learning to get along with others is a skill that will increase self-esteem and happiness. Simply practices such as teaching a child how to meet and greet others is a good place to start. Tips are offered on how to use common situation as socialization devices.

Coming to terms with C-sections

Article Abstract:

Cesarean sections are quite common and new mothers should not feel guilty or abnormal if they have one, since they are necessary to save the child's life. Reasons for cesareans include previous c-sections, labor not progressing, fetal distress, and breech position.
