How to pick your child's first doctor

A pediatrician should be chosen to suit the needs of one's baby. In towns without pediatricians, a family physician would suffice. Routinary check-ups can be competently performed by pediatric nurses. Other alternatives include group practice physicians and those from health maintenance organizations.

New attacks on asthma

Article Abstract:

Asthma in children can be prevented. It begins with the inflammation of the bronchial tubes, followed by attacks caused by certain irritants. Despite the absence of measures to eliminate asthma altogether, it can be prevented by breastfeeding babies and keeping them away from cigarette smoke.
