Article Abstract:

Stone cladding is mainly used for the building of doctor's surgeries in North Yorkshire. In urban North Yorkshire the most economic choice is brickwork cladding but in rural areas planning constraints means that stonework cladding is used. In unit terms stone cladding is more expensive, costing an extra 200 pounds sterling per thousand. As the stone is local transport costs are low. Randomly-coursed square-edged rubble is the stone most used. Reconstituted stone is more expensive as over 100 moulds have to be created to produce the desired effect.

Russia is likely to have to undertake a major fiscal restructuring no matter who wins the 1996 presidential elections, Goldman Sachs forecasts. Yeltsin appears likely to win and will renegotiate an agreement with the International Monetary Fund in 3rd qtr 1996. Gross domestic product is forecast to shrink by 1% in real terms in 1996, but there should be a growth rate of 2% for 1997. A victory by Gennady Zyuganov would lead to an expansion in the money supply, and controls could be introduced on prices and exchange rates.
