Susan and Bill Murtagh have quadruplets who cost them $400 each week for child care, since they need two babysitters. The family has had a number of different in-home and live-in care takers, but most of them do not seem to like children. Relatives assist, but the situation is frustrating.

Why is this baby crying?

Article Abstract:

Babies of different ages cry for different reasons. Newborns cry only because they are physically uncomfortable. At about 3 or 4 months, infants begin crying due to emotional reasons as well such as fear or loneliness. Information is provided to help parents comfort crying infants.
