Bringing children to camping trips require rigid emotional and physical preparation for both parents and children. During camps, what may be disastrous for parents may be very interesting and memorable for children. Camping trip nightmares may be avoided by planning ahead and avoiding pitfalls associated with outdoor recreation.

Many children of interfaith marriages that have been left on their own to choose between the parents' religion choose no religion at all. The current consensus is to raise the children in one parent's faith while keeping them informed about the other's. Voluntary cooperation is essential.
