An overview is presented of the 2001 trend for eyebrow shape. Fashion formerly dictated a thin 'anorexic' brow, but the look has been replaced by a heavy, dark Latin look. The bold brow is a beauty classic, having been seen in the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Sophia Loren.

An overview is presented of an ancient technique of hair removal which is regaining popularity in 2001. 'String facials' used coiled threads to remove hair and slough off dead skin cells. The technique, of Indian or Persian origin, is only used on eyebrows and upper lips.
