Sculptural applique 3-D techniques may be used to enhance quilt images. Depth and presence may be added to any type of imagery or quilt style. Scuptural applique, bias loops and embroidery bundles are three techniques which may be used to capture inspiring images in dimensional quilting.

Variations on a shrug
