Two takes on felting wool Jersey

Article Abstract:

The knit-fibers in any wool jersey or double knit fuse, after a few washes create a completely nonravelling, almost leather like, light, pliable, and inviting material. The felting process shrinks the fabric lengthwise by at least a third, and somewhat less crosswise.

Negative printing techniques

Creating patterns on fabric using bleach is described. Usage of various techniques like stencils, sprayed bleach and resists with fibre etch creates cutwork and burn-out effects by removing the fibres themselves, rather than the dye.
