A description of the sewing techniques which can be used to reduce the size of garment necklines is presented. The reduction of conventional collars and jewel necklines are discussed.

Altering design details

Article Abstract:

A sleeve cap with pleats is lengthened at the cap by folding out the pleats to return the sleeve to its basic sloper design. The alteration is then drawn as the material is laid flat. The pleats are closed and the corrected sleeve cap can be traced accurately.
