A friendship that ages well

An old college friend of a Wine Spectator employee telephoned him after 40 years. The two friends and their wives met for lunch and discussed how they became interested in fine wines. The friend provided an amusing anecdote about his initiation into the world of wine.

A lucky break

Article Abstract:

A man recalls how he and his wife became enchanted with Chateau Lafite Rothschild in 1966. He recounts an anecdote in which the couple were moving to a new house and one of their bottles of this fine wine broke at the neck but none spilled.
