Australia's bold whites

Article Abstract:

The highest quality of wines in Australia, are the Chardonnay and Riesling, because of their fruity flavors without implying sweetness. The Rieslings are nearly always dry, with fragrant aromas of citrus, stone fruit and mineral, while the Chardonnays show a modest oak influence with the characteristics of top-end white Burgundy, including a welcome minerality, vibrant acidity and moderate alcohol.
