Brett: Love it or filter it

Article Abstract:

Brettanomyces is spoilage yeast that gives a distinct exotic aroma and flavor to wines but sometimes it also can make the wine taste bitter, metallic and leathery. Gordon Burns, the director of ETS Laboratories in Nepa Valley states that he is constantly consulting with the wine maker about the hazards of high levels of Brett in wine.

Peterson wins suit against Allied Lyons

Article Abstract:

Peterson could be awarded as much as $8 million in his judgment against Atlas Peak Vineyards. He was the general manager for the winery, owned by Allied Lyons, which was found guilty of breach of contract, fraud, violation of the California labor code, age discrimination, and wrongful termination.
