Calera winemaker moves to new Oregon winery

Article Abstract:

Doerner has left Calera Wine Co after 14 years to make wine at Cristom Vineyards. The vintner specializes in Pinot Noir, which will be the primary wine made at Cristom. Sara Steiner, who worked at Haywood, will replace Doerner.

Peterson, a distinguished career winemaker, is now making wines for the Central Valley Montpellier. The 61-year-old vintner has worked for E and J Gallo, Beaulieu Vineyard and the Atlas Peak Vineyard in Napa Valley.
