Champagne trio: it's an opportune time to sample classic vintage Champagne from three excellent years

Article Abstract:

Champagne from the 1988, 1989 and 1990 vintages are outstanding and are just showing up in wine shops. The top 10 Champagnes are rated on a scale of one to 100, with tasting notes and prices provided, and an alphabetical listing is given. Champagne house Nicolas Feuillatte is also discussed.

Champagne quality was strong in 1995, according to a blind sampling of 87 sparkling wines. The taste of Champagnes may vary considerably based on exposure and microclimate. A second fermentation process raises the alcohol level and creates the effervescence of Champagne.

Article Abstract:

Vintage Champagnes currently on the market, mostly from 1988, 1989 and 1990, are excellent. The non-vintage Champagnes, which are mostly 1992s, are not very good. Over 160 Champagnes from various vintages are rated, with tasting notes and prices included.
