PLC: Automatic for the people

Article Abstract:

Computer based industrial control systems are competing heavily with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The end of PLCs has been forecast for a number of years, but there have been a number of developments which should secure their position for some years from 1996. Supervised control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, using Microsoft computer operating systems, are improving, and becoming less expensive, carrying out some of the functions of PLCs, and are expected to increase their market share.

The racism is not as overt as previously, but people often make judgements about an African American based solely on their skin color. Honest communication between races can help to alleviate some of the subtle racism that exists.
