Yakult Honsha has introduced a new variety of its Yakult lactic acid bacteria drink, Yakult 200, which contains 20bn live Lactobacillus casei Shirota, lactic acid bacteria in a 65 ml bottle. This product, which has a 14-day refrigerated shelf life at under 10[degree sign]C, is priced at [yen] 144 for three 65 ml plastic bottles. The company has set a 200,000 bottles per day sales target.
