Monumental 1994 vintage port: an exclusive barrel tasting finds wines built for the ages

Article Abstract:

Perfect growing and harvest weather has made 1994 the first classic-quality Port vintage since 1985. The Croft, Dow, Fonseca, Graham, Taylor Fladgate and Quinta do Vesuvio vintage ports are rated classics, scoring 95-100 points in barrel tastings. They should be aged until 2010 for best drinkability.

Article Abstract:

The 1997 vintage Port is excellent, although some critics disagree. Several of the wines from this vintage taste very different than they did several years ago. Wines discussed include Gould Campbell, Fonseca, Taylor and Graham.
