New direct-shipping laws under fire

Article Abstract:

The direct wine-shipping laws passed in Massachusetts, Kentucky and Indiana, supposedly to enable wine producers in the US to send wine directly to consumers, is being criticized for its volume capital on shipping. The legal restriction, based on the volume of production of wine by the wineries, makes direct transporting impossible for large wine producers, thus making the law discriminatory that was seemingly meant to provide uniformity to in and out of state wineries.
