Texas opens its borders to wine

Article Abstract:

The Texas state legislature has passed a bill that allows consumers to receive direct shipments from wineries both inside and outside Texas' borders. Under the Senate Bill 877, out-of-state wineries each will be allowed to ship up to 3 gallons per month to any adult consumer for a total of no more than 35,000 gallons per winery a year throughout the state and Texas wineries can ship the same amount and can also send their wine to consumers in other states that permit home delivery.

Mendocino says no to genetically modified vines: county's organic growers say move will protect their reputation

Article Abstract:

Mendocino County has become the first county in its nation to ban genetically engineered grapevines and other crops, due to concerns over their potential impact.
