Wholesome vegetable soups

Several soups made from vegetables are given. Vegetable soups, which are low-fat recipes, can be served as a main dish or as a first course. Examples of vegetable soups include black bean soup with cilantro-tomato salsa, light minestrone, curried sweet potato soup and roasted vegetable broth.

Beans and barbecues are a perfect combination, whether they be red and white kidney beans, black beans, pinto beans and cranberry beans. Beans are nutritious and are an excellent source of fiber, that can aid in reducing blood pressure and bad-cholesterol levels. Bean recipes are presented.
