Internet can be useful as a marketing medium

Article Abstract:

A pair of Louisiana State University professors and a researcher from the Louisiana Forest Products Laboratory have built a web page for Louisiana wood furniture manufacturers. The experiment on the Internet is aimed at expanding markets for local companies that have little or no exposure to markets beyond their region. Most of the companies are small, with ten employees or less, and do not have very extensive marketing programs. The researchers are gathering information and hope to expand the web page to the rest of the Louisiana furniture industry.

Manpower Myths

Article Abstract:

There are several myths about the shortage of engineers today. The biggest myth is that there is an oversupply of engineers. There is actually a greater demand for engineers than there is a supply of them. Limitations in number of engineers produced each year should not be used.
