Keiko began his move from a cramped tank in Mexico to a spacious, environmentally controlled tank in Newport, Oregon on Jan 7, 1996. Keiko's plight became an international cause after he starred in the film 'Free Willy.' Researchers hope to train him to eventually be released to the wild.
