Article Abstract:

George Pyle discusses on the cornerstones of industrial agriculture, including price supports, chemical inputs and far reaching corporate ownership that resulted to overproduction and plummeting prices leading in turn to more industrialization. He suggest the need of true free market where farmers sells directly without middleman bidding up prices for farmers and driving consumer prices down thus local and direct is much more sustainable and responsible than organic.
