A volunteer with New York, NY's Lower East Side Needle Exchange Program describes the Saturday mornings she spends giving out needles to drug addicts. She became involved in the AIDS prevention program after a coworker became infected with HIV.

Dying young: AIDS among teens
Article Abstract:
People in their twenties account for more than 20% of AIDS cases, and most were probably infected as teenagers. The danger for teens is increased by their feelings of rebellion and their willingness to indulge in risky behavior.
