Cadmus to Congress: Read my list: A string of unresolved veterans issues tops the LegionEs legislative agenda

Article Abstract:

eAmerican LegionE National Commander Thomas P. Cadmus compelled the members of House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committee to solve a list of unresolved veteran issues that top the LegionEs legislative agenda. The commander submitted the LegionEs $31.5 billion budget recommendation for VA medical care in 2006 adding that third-party collections not to be counted against those budgets.

Veterans: The only enduring symbol of peace

Article Abstract:

Veteran's Day 2001 took on new meaning as the United States continued to deal with the aftermath of the September 11, terrorist attacks. A renewed sense of patriotism and courage has extended to veterans and non-veterans alike. Veteran's Day was originally called Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I.
