Dollars for scholars
Article Abstract:
The American Legion sponsors college scholarships amounting to more than $3 million every year. Fund raising projects are sponsored to raise money for these scholarships. The Legion also sponsors the Need A Lift? and the Option 4 Education Loan programs for those who do not qualify for scholarships.

The American Legion Discount Prescription Program has been extended to cover all members, Sons of the American Legion (SAL) and their families. Members will simply present their Legion and SAL membership cards to designated pharmacies to obtain a 17% discount on purchases.
