The death of Amschel Mayor James Rothschild, ruled an apparent suicide, left the wealthy and powerful Rothschild family of Europe without a leader. Rothschild was to become the head of N.M. Rothschild & Sons Ltd. The family, which values privacy, has been unable to avoid press coverage.
