The Long Goodbye

Article Abstract:

The end of the Vietnam War was heralded by the fall of Saigon in April 1975. According to President Ford it was the saddest day of his life, while Nguyen Van Thieu, the then president of South Vietnam, saw it as a betrayal.

Article Abstract:

The training of US Air Force crews in survival techniques at the Pensacola Naval Air Station is discussed. The survival exercises, such as over-water parachute drops and escaping from a submerged cockpit, are described.
