Extended shelf-life

Article Abstract:

Some of the larger UK supermarket chains are planning to expand their business outlets in the future. Construction companies may decide to bid for the projects, as the probability of economic recession will reduce work in other areas. The Institute of Grocery distribution has predicted 250 retail outlets will be required during 1998-2003. Some companies will only employ contractors on their lists but some of the smaller retailing companies are looking for new construction firms. Industry observers point out Northern Ireland is likely to need several new supermarkets in the near future.
