A housewife recounts her family's experience of raising a blind chicken for a pet. Named Sam, the chicken was doted on by their daughters. A stray Siamese cat, which they named Ping Sing, became Sam's best friend. When Ping Sing was reclaimed by its owner, Sam was saddened by the loss of the cat.
