Alpha Farm, Deadwood Creek, Oregon

Article Abstract:

Residents of Alpha Farm came to the commune for a variety of reasons, some were looking for a sense of community, others for freedom, and others wanted a special environment in which to raise their children. Article Abstract:

Susan McDougal remains the epitome of the survivor who defies any government effort to incarcerate. While serving time for refusing to answer Ken Starr's questions about the Clintons' business dealings, she gained insight into the misunderstood struggles of women prisoners. She, also, had an opportunity to be a caregiver and help other women get through their ordeals.
