His gift of the future

Article Abstract:

Yang-chin Chi was a teenager when the Korean War broke out. His father had died and his brother sent him away to safety in South Korea. He worked as a houseboy in a US base and befriended a black Army surgeon, Roy Thomas. Upon his return to the US, Thomas financed Chi's college education. Thomas' help allowed Chi to earn a college degree and become a successful professor.

Fred Engh, President of the National Alliance for Youth Sports and author of 'Why Johnny Hates Sports' reveals that there is a tremendous increase in the kids drop-out from sports due to growing emphasis on competition and lack of enjoyment. The coaches and the parents are equally held responsible for the increasing and undue pressure on kids.
