Implant for epileptics

Article Abstract:

Researchers conducted an experiment using electrical transmissions to control epileptic seizures with the use of a device similar to a pacemaker. Results show that patients respond favorably to this treatment and the device is up for approval by the US government.

Article Abstract:

Researchers are conducting tests on decreasing and controlling seizures among epileptics. A device that sends electric impulses to the vagus nerve from a device implanted in the chest is being used to lessen epileptic seizures.
