In Boston, make way for ducklings

Robert McCloskey's classic children's book 'Make Way for Ducklings' celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in Boston, where the tale takes place. Ducklings Day is held annually the last Sunday in April with a parade to the city's Public Garden, where the ducklings lived happily ever after.

A satirical CBS News Broadcast relates the events of Dec 16, 1773, when angry colonials dumped British tea into Boston Harbor. The entire CBS staff and interviews with 20th century figures such as Henry Kissinger, Rev Al Sharpton and Mayor David Dinkins are in the story.

Preserving a kitchen tradition

The Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen offers classes in jam-making. The center's jams, jellies and preserves contain no preservatives or additives. Ida Putnam founded the center in 1903 as a way to make extra money.
