Article Abstract:

Outcomes research show a high tendency for surgeons to perform surgery even when other forms of treatment are available. These may have resulted from the high revenues generated by surgeries and the fear of tort liability. US' 10 most over-prescribed surgeries are analyzed.

During World War II sales of Series E war bonds flourished. Citizens were encouraged to buy bonds as a way of participating in the war effort. Series EE bonds are good investments today.
