Kick 'em out of school!: that's the cry of zero-tolerance zealots

Article Abstract:

Following the massacre at the Colorado high school where a pair of kids killed twelve fellow students and one teacher, the schools follow a strict policy of zero-tolerance without logic thinking. Most schools already have zero-tolerance rules on the books to clamp down on drugs and weapons and harmless students, between 6 to 16 years, are suspended for carrying weapons such as nail clippers, bread knife, toy guns, paper daggers and many other harmless articles.

Danger: Kids at work: Don't assume that summer job is a safe one

Article Abstract:

Nearly one million teenagers hold summer jobs in the United States, yet employers are often lax with rules and oversight, or fail to follow laws governing their employment. According to the Labor Department, 41 young workers were killed on the job in 2002, despite federal laws that forbid children under 18 from working with dangerous machinery or under hazardous conditions.

The process of giving donations to the candidates for elections and gaining white-collared jobs is a common strategy adopted in the U.S. According to the sources, dozens of high-level jobs went to investors funding the 2000 elections for George W.Bush including the posts of Secretary of Agriculture, Federal Maritime Commissioner, U.S Attorney, and others.
