Life outside the Green Zone: Everyday Baghdad through the eyes of a young Iraqi woman

Article Abstract:

The Green Zone in Baghdad, restricted areas housing Americans and their allies, is a constant source of consternation and aggravation for the typical Iraqi, symbolizing the heart of the occupation. A young Iraqi woman offers an account of everyday life in Baghdad considering issues like water shortages, intermittent electric supply, illegal detentions of friends and family, and assassinations on a regular basis.

Green peace: environmental restoration projects arise from the world's battlefields

Article Abstract:

The evil effects of he wars on the lands of different countries including Iraq, Afghanistan that were known for heir diverse plant, animal life etc have turned into barren lands which is a lesson for the rest of the world focusing on the difficult aftermath of war. Details on the countries affected by the wars are discussed.

The Apostle Island a perfect specimen showing the human relationships with nature in southern Wisconsin presents low sandstone cliffs, brown-red in hue sculpted by the action of wave and ice, which can become turbulent suddenly. This island offers its visitors the wild nature and human history.
