Article Abstract:

The memories of haying in a barn of Iceland with sickle bar attached to Russian made tractor, the drying of hay on windows, collecting it and making it into bundles and then the carrying the overflowing loads to the barns of precious harvest for the winter to come are recollected. The difference in haying techniques which have become more efficient, quicker, synchronized with the John Deere tractor and baler are remarked.
