My father was a cop

Article Abstract:

A man used to hate telling his friends that his father was a cop because of the negative perceptions surrounding his occupation. As he grew older, he realized that the negative views on policemen were influenced by the actions of politicians who used them to support their political ambitions.

Player of the year shares success with father

Article Abstract:

Chad Opel, 1998 American Legion Baseball Player of the Year is also a member of the team from Edwardsville, Il, that won the 1998 American Legion World Series. Opel received his award at a Hall of Fame ceremony at Cooperstown, NY.
