Pants onfire: the talk-show host lived by one simple rule: if you can't be right, be wrong at the top of your lungs

Article Abstract:

Downey's notoriety came from the abrasive style of his talk show, wildly popular in the mid- to late-1980s. Producers of the show and others close to him knew he invented much of his information. His penchant for lying overturned him when he claimed to have been attacked at an airport by skinheads.

Jean Harris describes her experiences working in the Parenting Center while an inmate at Bedford. She argues that more mother should be allowed to keep their babies in prison and that they should be taught parenting and job skills.
