Childrearing can be more fulfilling and childhood more satisfying if parents recognize four facts. Parents cannot do everything right and cannot keep looking back or planning too far ahead. They should also recognize that their popularity will ebb at some time and that they cannot take a serious view all the time.

A study was conducted to determine the recipe for a happy family. Results of interviews conducted on 100 outstandingly loving families showed that there are no perfect parents. Enumerated are four parental facts of life that facilitate parenting and promote healthy families.
