Polyrhythmic patents

Article Abstract:

Brazil is a laboratory for policies that seeks to expand the information commons, charting a legal course, which is attracting copyright and patent holders and raising new questions about the rights of poor countries to determine their path toward development. Gilberto Gil, Brazils minister of culture, states that no country in the U.S or Europe will stand in the way of the development agenda which is sensitive to the needs of the underdeveloped states.

Is Cancun the next Seattle?: as the world trade organization meets, activists launch a fair trade movement

Article Abstract:

The gatherings of the resort city Cancun, Mexico to solve its problem of privatization at the World Trade Organization (WTO) founded in 1995 to set trade rules and settle disputes among its 146-member countries targeted for global justice including the 'Battle for Seattle' is highlighted. Details of the other issues including healthcare, intellectual property rights, agricultural dumping are discussed.
