Queer Sheik

Article Abstract:

Jeddah's malls and discos have become meeting places for gay Saudi men, who openly make passes at each other and gather each week to drink beer, dance together to Western music, and introduce their partners to friends. However, traditionally self-identified gays and lesbians who openly display their sexual preferences live in fear in Saudi Arabia since homosexuality has long been illegal and the capital punishment for sodomy is death.

The bear facts

Article Abstract:

In 1996 Massachusetts, U.S. voters persuaded that hunting and trapping were inhumane ways of treating the wildlife population. As a result a statewide referendum restricted bear hunting and since then bears began to come to town with increasing regularity to stroll down village main streets, patrol city neighborhoods and become intruders.
