Rescue of a newborn

Article Abstract:

Muddy-Melly was the only baby elephant in the Manyara National Park, Tanzania, because many elephants were decimated by poachers for their ivory tusks. Her rescue from a muddy wallow symbolized the new surviving generation of elephants since an international agreement banned ivory trade.

Rescue squad!

Emergency medical technicians are recruiting ordinary citizens to help augment their ambulance services. After long months of tedious study and practice, these well-trained volunteer workers become permanent members of the local rescue squad.
