Scout resurrects prayer book

Article Abstract:

"Strength for Service to God and Country" a prayer book first published by United Methodist Church in 1942 was all but forgotten but after the Korean War has been republished by a sixteen year old Boy Scout, Evan Hunsberger. Evan and 45 Scout volunteers spent 2,500 hours updating the text with writings by archbishops, rabbis and pastors, university presidents and notable Americans in addition to devotions written by well-known religious and industrial leaders contained in the original edition.

A ten-year-old girl who is allergic to food has testified before legislators to change a law concerning epinephrine, a drug often administered to people suffering from anaphylactic shock. Paige Cassidy was named the Children's Miracle Network's 'Miracle Kid' in 2005, representing Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
