Starved for cash: How to stretch your charitable dollar

Article Abstract:

The US government and its citizenry spend hundreds of millions of dollars into hunger relief each year but more than a few charities have an immeasurable rate of return, and American policies often put the interests of industries at home over the needs of the starving abroad. A latest report by the Minneapolis-based Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy reveals that reforming the US policy needs to be a priority thus few tips regarding this is presented.

The big hurt: Pentagon scientists push the pain threshold with nonlethal weapons

Article Abstract:

The Pentagon has a new weapon, Active Denial System that uses a 95-gigahertz microwave beam to rapidly heat skin and cause an unbearable burning sensation that would send rioters running from its path within five seconds without causing any physical damage. Other big weapons include Pulsed Energy Projectiles to create a kind on invisible punch by emitting a laser pulse from over a mile away.
