The US Representative James T. Walsh talks about his role in the newly reorganized subcommittee that controls the checkbook for VA and the Department of Defense (DoD) quality-of-life spending. He describes the purpose of combining appropriations for active-duty military and veterans and also the challenges faced by the subcommittee.

History over Hiroshima

Article Abstract:

Famed pilot Col. Paul Tibbets recalls the moment 60 years ago when he and his team dropped history's first atomic bomb thus bringing an end to the World War II. Tibbets and his crew aboard the B-29 bomber Enola Gay dropped the first atomic bomb over Hiroshima, Japan, on 6 August 1945.
