Philanderers, who need a variety of sexual partners, are actually afraid of women and place a high priority on masculinity. Women cannot change the behavior of philanderers, but these men may change if other men convince them that their behavior is unacceptable.

Research indicates that boys raised without fathers tend to be more violent than boys raised with fathers. Boys without fathers lack models of men who can live peaceably with their families and communities.
